Todsworthy Farm Cottages are located on a family run working farm and situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The cottages are ideally positioned close to the Cornwall Devon border which makes them a perfect base for touring either county.
There are plenty of visitor attractions close by. The area is rich with mining heritage sites and the working museum at Morwellam Quay is only a short distance away. There are national trust properties nearby and Cotehele House and gardens is within walking distance from the farm. The scenic branch line from Gunnislake to Plymouth is always a popular attraction and well worth a visit. St Mellion International golf course is on our door step and also the very grand Pentillie Castle which has been in recent television series’s. For family days out there is a donkey park with an indoor play barn, cycle paths and tree surfing at the Tamar Trails and Trethorne adventure park is a short drive away.
The area is very dog friendly with plenty of lovely walks across farmland and footpaths through the woods. Both of our cottages are dog friendly. Dartmoor National Park is only a short drive away with stunning views and wide open spaces.
There are fantastic places to eat close by ranging from rustic country pubs to Michelin star restaurants.
The cottages have been lovingly converted keeping a lot of the original features and character of the original barns. They both have a downstairs double bedroom with an ensuite wet room. There are 2 double bedrooms upstairs which are also ensuite. Each cottage sleeps up to 6. They are spacious and very wheelchair friendly and have fully equipped open plan kitchen and living room areas. Both cottages have under floor heating.
The cottages are set in their own grounds and have a private entrance with plenty of parking space and a patio area with barbecue facilities. The farm is a working farm with cows and calves, pigs and chickens. Visitors are able to access the farm by arrangement and are welcome to say hello to the animals. Eggs and other farm produce can be purchased from the farm house.
The cottages are open all year round with short weekend and mid-week breaks available out of season.
