About Us:

The perfect place for a family holiday, beautiful and very cosy barn conversions full of character on a small, former dairy farm close to the spectacular North Cornish coast.

Children will love meeting and feeding our friendly animals each morning, or burning off some energy in our play barn.

Parents will love the peace and tranquility, plus the fact that we’re easy to get to, family friendly (with lots of baby/toddler equipment to borrow) and convenient for the many attractions in Cornwall and North Devon.

If you can tear yourself away from the farm, there’s lots of exciting things to see and do nearby ….. long sandy beaches with rock pools and surfing, fantastic walks along the South West Coast Path, horse riding, cycling on dedicated trails, pretty fishing villages, beautiful gardens, award-winning adventure parks and great pubs and restaurants serving local produce.

In fact, everything you need for an ideal holiday!

Choose between five fully equipped barns with original exposed rafters, stone walls and wobbly rooflines and a newer built cottage for two. Mill House (sleeps 6 + cot), Stables (sleeps 6 + cot), Grain Store (sleeps 4) and Parlour (sleeps 4 + cot) sit around the farm’s original courtyard while Anna’s Cottage (sleeps 4 + cot) offers greater privacy annexed to the main farmhouse. Shepherds (sleeps 2 + cot) is a more modern, eco-friendly design a short distance from the courtyard and providing the perfect hideaway for couples. Extended groups of families and friends often book several cottages together and for those who like a little more space, we offer low-occupancy discounts for booking a larger cottage.

You can find us in the pretty little hamlet of Woolley, close to the Cornwall/Devon border and just nine miles north of the picturesque seaside town of Bude with its two beaches, famous sea pool, beach huts, canal and wide collection of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. From Woolley it’s only a few minutes to the A39 ‘Atlantic Highway’ putting the best of Cornwall and North Devon within easy reach.

About the Owners:

Richard and Christina took over West Woolley Farm in 2019 having been drawn to North Cornwall by the spectacular scenery, beautiful beaches and relaxed way of life. They also liked the fact that the farm is easy to get to for their guests (and family) and is an ideal base to explore everything this special part of the world has to offer. One of the best things they like about running West Woolley is introducing their younger guests to their friendly animals and watching them grow in confidence during their stay. People appear to have more time for each other at West Woolley and Richard and Christina love chatting with their guests, doing what they can to make their holiday enjoyable, whether it’s advice on what’s going on locally, the nearest beaches or the best places to eat.
